The ISIS Threat
By Jay Bologna
The world today is a scary place. There are different terror organizations cropping up faster than we can destroy them. ISIS is one threat of this kind. The problem started when President Obama pulled the troops out of the Iraq area and armed the Syrian government. The terror organization ISIS has flourished under their own leadership and without the pressure of American forces. The ISIS government is making over 1,000,000 dollars per day from selling crude oil on the black market (according to Al Arabiya News). As of now the ISIS organization has grown to be one of the most well organized, supplied and funded terror organizations in history.
The plans of the American government have failed many times over. First, under President Obama, troops in Iraq were pulled out. Next, the president failed to help the Israeli government when attacks on Israeli citizens were taking place. Our president has ruined our reputation as a country by spying on our allies and has ruined our economy by giving safe passage to illegal aliens then complaining about the “wealth inequality in America”. Our president does not even listen to his military officials and does not attend most of his daily progress reports. He has entered war on more than occasion without the consent of congress which is unconstitutional and immoral. We as a nation under this leadership and the economic situation cannot single handedly defeat the nation of ISIS.
The coalition of the US has rallied a few nations in the fight to defeat ISIS but they already has a steady foothold in the Middle East; furthermore; the inconsistent bombing runs executed by the United States has had little to no effect. The only thing the US has done to ISIS is make them angry. It is interesting to note that the US spends 682 billion dollars per year for military measures. This begs the question, “how have we not already won the war against ISIS?” We know that President Obama does not want “boots on the ground” but that may be the only option. We know what happened when Obama pulled all the troops out of Iraq– the insurgency continued and we were right back where we started except without over 10,000 American troops there. We already have reports of sleeper cells cropping up in the US under the guidance of the local mosques and the ISIS twitter feed. The so called “religion of peace” is spreading its deadly grasp in our nation and our leaders have done nothing to stop its progress into the very culture of America.
The Islamic religion is based on the teachings of Allah and the prophet Muhammad, Allah’s last prophet. The religion is based on peace and knowledge but radical groups, such as the Taliban and ISIS, have declared Shari'ah law, which lets men have full legal rights to do whatever they please with their wives and children. The use of Shari’ah law is seen throughout England where the Muslim population tried to enforce Shari’ah law on the government to allow them to follow their religious practices.
