Here at LCA I interviewed thirty people on what their favorite genre of music was. As you can probably tell, the most popular vote was rock at a total of thirteen votes! When you think of rock, what do you think of? AC/DC, Queen, or even Pink Floyd. Here are some interesting facts on multiple artists that we all know and love.

• AC/DC has sold almost 71 million albums in the US alone, making them one of the five top selling bands in American music history.

• Pink Floyd is celebrating their 40th

• Queen reunited and performed in the iHeart Radio Music Festival on September 21st - 22nd

 

The second runner up for favorite music is… rap! Rap is basically a mix of MCing, hip-hop, and reggae as said by Wikipedia. Lots of people know artists like Drake, Snoop Lion, and Lil’ Wayne.

• Lil’ Wayne used to be in a group called the Hot Boys from 1997 to 2001

• In 2009, Drake’s song “Best I Ever Had” made its way to #2 on the Hip-hop/R&B/Rap Billboards.

• Snoop Lion is creating a documentary called “Reincarnated” and it’s coming out soon! Anniversary of Dark Side of the Moon!
