A Poem by Katie Mirabile

Sixteen years to the day,

That's what they say.

When the world gained it's hero,

Known for the golden arrow.

She showed up right at the bitter end,

To help us defend.

No one saw her face,

Her hood was her hiding place.

She fought with us for a year,

Though all the shouts and sneers.

We never learned her name,

But everyone felt the same.

She was our hero,

Our saving grace.

The one who left us,

When I needed her most.

It's been five years since,

I've always tried to convince.

No one believes that she was ever here,

But I know it's true.

Because she never went away,

That's what I say...
